Joshua Smiley

Joshua L. Smiley began his Lilly career in 1995 and has held positions in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking, Corporate Financial Planning and Business-to-Business. Josh was named Executive Director and CFO for Lilly Research Laboratories in April 2007. Previously, Josh was a member of Lilly’s corporate Six Sigma initial deployment and leadership team where he had responsibility for Six Sigma efforts across G&A functions including Finance, HR, Legal, Corporate Affairs, IT and Elanco. Prior to his Six Sigma role Josh led our U.S. sales and marketing efforts to government payers such as Medicaid, Medicare, the VA, nursing homes and public hospitals. Josh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Harvard University in 1993. In 2005 he was named by Citigroup and Treasury and Risk Management publications to their annual “40 Under 40” Outstanding Finance Executives.
